What is the AMEP?
The AMEP is a program that provides basic English
as a second language tuition to help migrants and refugees from
non-English speaking backgrounds settle successfully in Australia.
If
you are eligible you can study English through the AMEP at Macquarie
Community College Blacktown for up to 510 hours or until you reach
a functional level of English. Students can advance to higher level
classes after being reassessed. At Macquarie, our teachers are specialists
in teaching English as a second language and our students are supported
by the latest in technology and teaching strategies.
