What Will I Learn?
At Macquarie, our AMEP course content is theme based because we believe that this is the easiest and most practical way to approach English language learning for new migrants. Students learn English in the context of themes such as Greetings, Health, Vocational Education, Employment etc.. This means that our students learn about important settlement issues while they are learning English.

AMEP is designed to teach a lot more than just English language skills. You will learn about Australian society, culture, and customs as well as pick up computer skills by using the English software available in our computer room. You will also learn about how to access services that are essential to living in Australia. Macquarie Blacktown also organises many events fo students throughout the term. Some of these include Health Week, Harmony Day, field trips, Employment Expo, Migrant Resource Centre Tours, and exit counselling re employment and study pathways. You will have the chance to meet other new arrivals who may have similar experiences and goals as yours, and you will make many new friends. So don't delay, enrol today!
