Introduction to the ACL Consortium
The ACL Consortium is a partnership of private, public,
and community organisations dedicated to the settlement process
of Australian migrants. Together, the consortium delivers a significant
portion of the Adult Migrant English Program. Macquarie Community
College is a community partner of the ACL Consortium. We provide
many resettlement services to refugees and migrants enrolled in
our AMEP course including childcare through KU Children's Services
and counselling through Mission Australia.
Australian Centre for Languages >
The Australian Centre for Languages is an education and training
organisation. ACL's core business is the provision of English language
education and training programs, including the AMEP. more >
Macquarie Community College >
Macquarie Community College is one of the oldest and largest
community colleges in NSW. It has been providing quality adult education
since the 1930's. Macquarie offers nationally accredited training
courses relevant to the workplace, a range of general and focused computer courses,
special needs programs, and over 350 leisure courses.

University of Western Sydney >
The University of Western Sydney English Language Centre offers
three different programs for different categories of English language
learner. The English Lanuage Intensive Courses for Overseas
Students (ELICOS) program is for international students who would
like to study at Australian universities. UWS also has a number
of international projects and also provides the AMEP.

KU Children's Services >
KU Children's Services is the largest non-government provider
of pre-schools and child care centres in the state of NSW. KU has a presence nationally as the main provider of children's
services to the Department of Defence, with KU centres on Defence
Bases right around Australia. more >
Mission Australia >
Mission Australia not only provides short term relief to
people in a crisis situations, but empowers people through counselling,
training and rehabilitation to become self-sufficient and economically
