Translation
Macquarie Community College Blacktown provides a free document
translation service funded by The Department of Immigration and Citizenship for students
enrolled in the AMEP who are settling permanently in Australia.
The service allows recently arrived migrants and refugees to participate
in their new community by having their personal documents translated.
Only those who are settling in Australia permanently
are eligible for this ervice. This includes permanent visa holders,
people who have migrated to Australia on a resident visa issued
by Australian authorities, and refugees and humanitarian entrants.
Only documents to be used for settlement purposes
or legal proceedings in Australia are eligible for translation.
Students must provide legible certified photocopies of original documents.
We do not accept original documents.Students must
also complete a document translation application form in English
and provide a passport or Document for Travel to Australia containing
a valid resident visa.
The following documents are eligible for free translation.

- Birth certificate
- Educational and vocational certificates (highest certificate only)
- Baptismal certificate (if you don't have a birth certificate)
- Medical documents obtained prior to migration
- Marriage certificate
- Police/penal certificate (if required for employment)
- Child vaccination certificate
- Death certificate
- Change of name certificate (issued before migration)
- Driver's license
- Employment record
- Divorce document and associated affadavit
This is a free service. To organise translation
of your documents, just ask your teacher or the administration staff
at Macquarie Community College Blacktown.
