Backyard Chickens: How to Make the Most of Your Coop – Sydney Course

This course follows on from our introductory course, 'Backyard Chickens: Beginner’s Guide to Raising Chickens'. It is for people already experienced with keeping backyard chickens in the suburbs. You will learn all about growing a new flock of chicks, recycling, composting, growing your own chicken food and more... the options are endless!

This course will provide a comprehensive overview of options to maximise your enjoyment and experience with keeping backyard chickens at your place.

The main topics we will cover are: problem solving, renewing the flock – hatching and dispatching, predators and freeloaders, poultry nutrition, growing greens & grubs and composting.

By the end of the course you’ll have a clear idea of the next steps for furthering your own experience in keeping backyard chickens.

For anyone starting out with backyard chickens, you should enrol in the introductory course, “Backyard Chickens: Beginner's Guide to Raising Chickens” first.
