Flower Arrangement for the Summer Season – Sydney Course

Do you want to add a special touch to your flower arrangements? This summer flower themed course will bring freshness to your flower arranging.

You will have an opportunity to learn how to use seasonal summer flowers to create flower arrangements in a variety of ways, using ceramic pots, vases and wreaths. You will receive step by step guidance on how to care for and add your own special touch to beautiful blooms.

This 3-session course is taught by a florist who will have you designing with flowers in no time.

It is suitable for all levels from beginners to intermediate and experienced students who want to build on their current skills by experimenting with fresh seasonal flowers.

Course Outline

In this course you will learn:

• Modern vase arrangement
• Summer party floral arrangement
• Summer flower wreath with big bold flowers and berries

Course Outcome

By the end of the course you will know:

• How to care for fresh flowers
• Where to purchase floral supplies
• How to wire fresh flowers
• How to arrange flowers in different containers, using different techniques
• The equipment used in floristry
• Elements of arrangement and colour coordination
• How to combine with floristry technical skills

What to bring

Please bring a:

• Pen and note pad
• Secateurs or florist scissors
• Rose strippers
• $25 for the first lesson, payable to tutor, to cover the cost of the first lessons flowers

Please note: The teacher has florist scissors ($5) and rose strippers ($3) if you want to purchase them.

You will be provided with:

• Fresh flowers at an additional weekly cost of $25 (details confirmed each week).

Important Information

Fresh flowers from Sydney flower markets each week are an additional weekly cost approx. $25 per class.
This is to be paid to your teacher at the start of each class.

Prerequisite

• No previous knowledge of flower arrangement is required.
• A love of flowers and floral arrangements is highly desired!
