Adult Tap Dancing Lessons – Sydney Course

Rhythmic, precise and loads on fun, tap dancing is a great way to exercise whilst improving your co-ordination skills. Two class levels are available to suit either beginners and students with basic knowledge, or to suit those who have completed stage 1 and are ready to progress, or have some more developed tap dancing skills.

Course Outline

In this course you will learn:

  • A variety of more complex rhythmic tap dance combinations
  • Exercises to improve speed, accuracy and general technique
  • Rhythm based exercises
  • Stylistic exercises
  • Progressive short choreography
  • Group work exercises and group choreography
  • Creative application

Course Outcome

You will further build on your tap dance skills while developing confidence, rhythm, timing and good technique. Learn complex combinations and choreography in a fun, supportive environment. You will be introduced to a broader range of tap styles, fun new techniques and funky rhythms!

Prerequisite: Essential

Students need to have completed an introductory course in Adult Tap Dancing, or some have intermediate level Tap Dance skill.

Delivery Mode

In a supportive and fun atmosphere, material is presented face to face, and encompasses a mixture of verbal explanation, physical demonstrations, repetition, individual work, group work and occasional opportunities for free development in jam sessions. The tutor plans the classes to suit individual needs, catering to audio, visual and kinaesthetic learners.
