Be Connected – Blogging: Your Online Journal – Sydney Course

In this course, you’ll discover what a blog is and how easy it is to get online and share your thoughts with the world usingf this online journal.

In the class activities, you’ll learn how to start your own free blog, choose an interesting topic, write great blog posts, plus tips on how to stay safer online when writing blogs.

You’ll also learn how to publish blog posts on the internet, share them and engage with your readers.

Course Outline

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • What is a blog?
  • Why would I want to start a blog?
  • What can I blog about?
  • How to start blogging
  • How to stay safe whilst blogging

Course Outcome

By the end of the course you will know:

  • What a blog is
  • What topics you can blog about
  • Who can read your blog posts
  • What personal identity information you should and should not share on your blog
  • What building blocks make up a blog

What to Bring

You will need:

  • Notepad
  • Pen
  • Computers are available for you to use. However. you can also bring your own laptop, Android tablet or iPad if you wish to learn on your own device.

  • No previous knowledge required
