Bushwalk 3 – Carmel’s Canyon – Sydney Course

Bushwalk 3 – This is a little-known canyon which is suitable for experienced bushwalkers who are looking for an introduction into canyoning or who would like to further their adventures. There is little in the way of the difficult sections that most canyons have – such has water jumps, abseiling or difficult climbs. Subject to rainfall, the canyon is short and is usually shallow enough to walk through. The canyon offers a diverse landscape of narrow passages and vertical escarpments. The vegetation is almost sub-tropical in an open rainforest environ. Tall coachwoods tower meters towards the sky looking for sunlight while on the canyon floor the sunlight will rarely get the chance to penetrate.
