Buttercream Cake Decorating Course – Sydney Course

Back in trend, the use of buttercream has increased in popularity among cake decorating professionals and enthusiasts. Create a great impression at your next party and learn how to create amazing birthday cakes, cupcakes and formal style cakes using buttercream.

You will learn to colour and pipe buttercream using a variety of styles and a range of techniques. Different cakes such as a semi-naked cake, cupcake bouquet, and large cupcakes will be used. You will also learn how to use different piping tips to create beautiful buttercream flowers and how to place fresh flowers onto your cake. You will also learn about levelling and torting a cake.

Course Outline

In this course, you will learn:

  • Learn to pipe a variety of styles and techniques using buttercream onto a dummy cake.
  • Learn to create a beautiful semi-naked cake and learn how to safely apply flowers to your cake.
  • Learn to make a beautiful cupcake bouquet using mini cupcakes that have been piped with different piping techniques.
  • Learn how to pipe flowers onto large cupcakes using the Russian Piping Tips.
