Learn how to create beautiful Celtic Art using Tree of Life and Plant Patterns. The Tree of Life Pattern is a drawing of a tree in a circular shape. It is used in many religions and philosophical traditions.

This course builds on your knowledge of Celtic Knot patterns and Spirals and combines them with drawings of plants to create interconnected Celtic designs. Learn to draw your own Celtic Tree of Life design with step-by-step guidance using simple drawing techniques. To create plant patterns you will be shown how to 'grow' leaves and flowers from Celtic Knots. Start looking now at how plants grow, draw some simple leaf shapes and bring them to class.

Students will need to know how to draw Celtic Knots using a diamond dot grid method, as taught in previous calligraphy classes.
