Calligraphy: Pointed Pen Italic Capital Letters (Majuscules) - Sydney Course

In this short course, you will learn how to use a pointed pen and ink to create beautiful italic capital letters, also known as majuscules.

Pointed Pen Italics is a modern twist on a familiar calligraphy script. It’s an easier script for both left & right handers to learn. Using a pointed pen creates a more delicate look to your calligraphy. This calligraphy style will give your handwriting a special flair with its flourished capital letters.

During the course, you will be guided in the letter shapes of Italic majuscules (capital letters), how thick and thin strokes are formed using a pointed nib, and the potential for developing more flourished letterforms as confidence builds with practice. This is a great style to pen your favourite quote with a modern twist, or to use in any of your art & craft projects.

This short course in calligraphy is for beginners to intermediate students.
