There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Prerequisite: Desirable

You will need to have language, literacy and numeracy skills that allow you to read and interpret information and prepare documents at a moderate level. Previous study of a qualification at Certificate III or above and experience in the workplace will assist with understanding of concepts.

Delivery Mode

We offer training in formats that suit you. The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is available:

Online learning: You study at your own pace using your computer and the Internet. Trainers are available to provide support.

Distance learning: You study at your own pace with provided workbooks. Assessments are to be of a typed format.

Blended: A mix of face to face, online or distance learning giving you the benefit of periodic face to face support from a trainer while also having a degree of flexibility.

Study Load

The completion time for the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety varies according to the educational background and any relevant experience of the student. Face to face classes take approximately 6-12 months. The student will be expected to complete approximately 30 hours of study in class and at home per week full time or the equivalent part time.
