Chinese Tea Appreciation – Introduction Sydney Course

Do you love tea but don’t know where to start? Do you know how great tea tastes like? Do you want to learn how to brew a perfect cup of tea that suits your taste buds? No matter what kind of needs and questions you have about tea, here is the workshop to experience the journey of the magical leaf that has been appreciated for thousands of years. In this workshop, you will be completely immersed in a unique and fun environment of learning and training, along with real-life practice sessions, preparing and appreciating six different types of high quality premium tea. Course Outline

3 Hours, Theory Plus Practical

  • Brief history of tea
  • Different categories of tea, tea wares
  • Brewing techniques for different types of tea
  • Practical appreciation of Green Tea, White Tea, Yellow Tea, Oolong Tea, Black Tea & Pu’er Tea

Course Outcome

  • It is intended that by the end of the course students will be able to differentiate and recognize different types of tea, tea wares and according to their own needs to be able to choose the right tea and tea wares to brew and appreciate the perfect cuppa.

What to Bring

  • Notepad and pen.
  • Different types of teas and tea sets are provided for students to use during the class for the practical component.

  • No previous knowledge about tea is required
  • This course is suitable for those new, returning or experienced students.

Delivery Mode

  • The course includes both theory and practical components. We cover theory first, and the practical component are fun, interactive sessions. This includes hands on one-on-one guidance.
