Crochet for the Festive Season – Sydney Course

Want to make something easy, fast and fun for decorating your Christmas tree? Crocheting for the Festive Season will have you crocheting beautiful ornaments to hang on your tree in no time!

In this course, you will learn to read and understand crochet patterns to create simple and beautiful items, such as a twinkling snowflake, candy cane, Christmas mini-stocking or lacy bells.

This course is suitable for those at a beginner level and have had at least some experience with crocheting, as well as Intermediate and Advanced students. It is desirable that you have done the Crochet for Beginners course previously.

Course Outline

In this coure you will:

  • Revise basic crochet stitches
  • Use simple crochet patterns and stitches to make Christmas themed items, such as a twinkling snowflake, candy cane, Christmas mini-stocking or lacy bells
  • Learn to follow a crochet pattern

Course Outcome

At the end of the session, you will have almost finished your piece. You will leave with a sound understanding of the pattern and be confident to finish the project.

  • Scissors
  • A Safety pin
  • A crochet hook set if you have one

Prerequisite

This course is designed for those who know how to chain in crochet. It is beneficial if you can make a single crochet and double crochet.
