Dressmaking Skills – Sydney Course

If you want to gain dressmaking skills or improve your current skills, then this course is for you. You will learn a variety of skills and sewing techniques including hemming and blind stitching, how to sew darts and pockets, inserting sleeves and cuffs, creating pleats, inserting zippers and more.

Each week, new samples will be demonstrated and completed by students. Students are also welcome to request particular subjects to be covered based on problems they may be experiencing with their own sewing projects.

The class is suitable for all levels but will be adapted to the level of sewing experience each student possesses. More complex samples will be supplied for advanced sewers.

By the end of this course, you will be able to achieve professional dressmaking fit and finishes to a garment.
