Fine Woodworking Skills- Sydney Course

Learn how to produce quality woodwork using hand tools. All basic woodworking tools and skills are covered in this one day Fine Woodworking Skills course. Beginners welcome.
Offered by the Traditional Tools Group Inc. TTTG, this course has been providing “hands on” and “real skills” workshops for over a decade. Materials and tools are supplied, however, if you have any tools you want to learn about, please bring them to the workshop.

Course Outline

You will learn:

  • Wood selections
  • Setting out
  • How to use saws, planes and chisels
  • How to assemble a project

Course Outcome

  • At the end of this course students will have the knowledge and skills to produce quality woodwork – using handtools.

*Hard- soled-shoes with leather uppers and safe clothing are required

Important Information

  • TTTG is a not-for-profit society interested in traditional tools and skills. Members include artisans and amateurs, tool users and collectors. We are delighted to teach our skills and pass our knowledge on to other interested people. All TTTG workshops are “hands on” experiences. Course presenters are Jim Davey and Bob Crosbie from Traditional Tools Group Inc.

Delivery Mode

  • This workshop is held in a large hall - using flat tables. Demonstrations and practical work involved.
