Bonjour, when you are planning a trip to Paris, the beautiful city of lights, it is very useful to learn how to greet the locals and know a few valuable phrases in the local language, French. Whether trying to ask for directions to a monument, trying to order food, pay your bill or speak to the locals, you will find it helpful to learn basic French.

The course will also includes some cultural information about France.

Course Outline

In this French for Travellers course you will learn:

  • Greeting someone
  • How to say thank you
  • Addressing people
  • Saying good-bye to someone
  • Asking for things
  • Introduce yourself and asking about names of people
  • Ask for information in Tourism offices
  • Order in restaurant/coffee shop
  • Ask for direction and public transport

Course Outcome

In this course, you will learn basic vocabulary and expressions to help you communicate in various travel situations:
How to greet and say thank you and goodbyes, how to introduce yourself, how to order food in a simple way, and asking prices and how to ask for directions.

Prerequisite

This level is for the complete beginner and assumes no prior knowledge of the language.
