Introduction to Pewter (Metal Embossing) Workshop – Sydney Course

Learn the ancient art of Pewter (otherwise known as Metal Embossing). Using a malleable sheet of lead free pewter, you will learn the skills needed to create magnificent artworks that will be nothing like you have ever seen before. With the use of hand held tools, you will raise and engrave different parts of the design to create texture and depth. This is then blackened and polished to achieve an antique, aged look with dramatic shadows.

You do not have to be artistic to create beautiful masterpieces for your home, or as personalised gifts for family and friends. Pewter is one of the most versatile crafts and has endless possibilities. It is easy to learn and most importantly, a very enjoyable and rewarding hobby. Just remember that imagination is the beginning of creation!

During the workshop you will learn a variety of pewter techniques and complete a project to take home. You could make a beautiful keepsake, decoration, ornament, box, coasters and more. After the course, you will confidently be able to try a variety of projects at home.

Macquarie Community College operates from a range of venues across North and Western Sydney. We have campuses in Carlingford, Chatswood, Mt Druitt, Richmond and many more. Enrol today or enquire now!
