Course Outline

In this workshop you will understand what procrastination is, how to identify it and how to overcome it.

We will cover:

  • Common reasons why people procrastinate
  • Why you procrastinate. What is it that you may be avoiding?
  • Is your procrastinating affecting others?
  • Identify negative behavioural patterns and behaviours that you develop by procrastinating
  • The consequences of procrastinating
  • Learn to manage your time, plan to avoid procrastination
  • How procrastinating affects your health
  • Learn strategies to help you plan to avoid procrastination and feelings of being overwhelmed
  • Written exercises with the tools you learn to plan for success, overcome feeling overwhelmed and stressed

Course Outcome

By the end of the workshop you will:

  • Have a greater understanding of procrastination and how it affects yourself and others
  • Have a better understanding of your own self-talk/ (thoughts) and whether they are serving you or sabotaging you
  • Identify what needs to change to help you overcome procrastination and create a new way of doing and being
  • Learn that with procrastination comes consequences
  • Know medical evidence about how procrastination can affect your health
  • Learn strategies and planning to move you from procrastination to results
  • Have a belief and understanding that you can live a balanced life
