Introduction to Yoga and Meditation – Sydney Workshop

Get a taste of Yoga and Meditation in this 1.5 hour workshop. If you are feeling tired, stressed, distracted or unable to focus, then this Introduction to Yoga and Meditation class is for you!

An ancient text describes yoga as “the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind”. Having a quiet mind enables you to be sharper and better able to think clearly.

In this workshop, you will learn about and experience some of the practices described in the yoga text to achieve a quiet mind, clarity of thought and bring rejuvenation to the body:

  • mindful movement – poses and sequences to relax and strengthen the body
  • conscious breathing – techniques to improve breathing and aid relaxation
  • relaxation and meditation practices to focus the mind

To continue enjoying the benefits of Yoga and Meditation, students are encouraged to enrol in the Yoga and Meditation 8 week short course.

Students' health status, fitness and general abilities are considered, and alternative postures are suggested accordingly.

Macquarie Community College operates from a range of venues across North and Western Sydney. We have campuses in Carlingford, Eastwood, Chatswood, Mt Druitt, Richmond and many more. Enrol today or Enquire Now!
