NSW Government Subsidised Programs

NSW Government subsidies are available for many of the accredited training courses offered by Macquarie Community College.

Subsidy opportunities are available from time to time for both new employees and existing workers. Some programs are available only through employers and others directly to employees. Please contact us to find out what training subsidies are available right now and whether you are eligible. We are committed to finding the best government subsidy for you.


In most industries traineeships are available to new and existing employees. Employers receive NSW Government incentives to take on new personnel as trainees and provide study support. However, in select priority industries, NSW Government incentives are also available for existing worker employees. Contact us to find out if you or your staff are eligible.

Smart and Skilled

Smart and Skilled identifies nationally accredited qualifications relating to high priority industries in New South Wales. The NSW Government contributes towards the cost of courses on the NSW Skills List for eligible students. Smart and Skilled subsidies are also provided to learners who need extra support or assistance with reading, writing and numeracy or to “learners” with multiple barriers to achieving a full qualification.
