- The Pilates course has been developed by Pilates Instructor, Rachel Szabo, with over 3000 hours of instruction experience, ten years of taking lessons (as well as one year of extensive training). Rachel’s training includes both matwork and apparatus training in the West Coast Style, gained at Pilates International Training Centre, and has taught in Pilates studios, gyms, physiotherapy practices and private classes across Sydney.
- Rachel’s passion for the Pilates Method started as a teenager, hearing about the method whilst she was taking dance classes for 17 years. Leaving dancing and entering the work force, a very weak, twenty one year old Rachel, working in an office job was suffering with neck and shoulder stiffness, and the inability to even carry shopping bags. After eighteen months of consistent classes, Rachel gained control of her body, gained strength, and was asked to train in The Pilates Method by her instructor, and offered a position train and work in her studio. Struggling to carry shopping bags is a thing of the past!
- Rachel is passionate in generating strength and awareness for our bodies, regardless of your body type, that will improve your day to day functionality.
- She has a strong focus on teaching students to listen to their bodies, and going at their own pace.
- Every body is different, and everybody’s Pilates journey is as individual as they are. Rachel’s aim is also to have fun.
