In this course you will learn:
- How to use a rotary cutter, ruler and mat
- Fabric grain threads
- Colour, design and fabric types used in patchwork
- How to sew squares together
- How to compile a reference folder with samples

This course is suitable for beginners or intermediate.
What you need to provide
You will be provided with:
- Class notes
- Fabric samples
You will need to bring:
- A4 2-ring folder, A4 paper and plastic sleeves
- Pen
- Pacer pencil, 2B pencil and erasers
- Clear ruler with inch measurements
- Tape measure
- Compasses
- Glue stick
- Paper scissors and fabric scissors
- Sewing kit
- Crewel needle no. 9
- Cream cotton machine thread
- Glass head pins
- Patchwork tools (if already owned)
- Homespun scraps (if you already have some)
