Lifestyle and Leisure Program

For more than 60 years, Macquarie Community College has been meeting the needs of the local community with a diverse offering of lifestyle and leisure courses. Students can learn to dance, get fit, join a cooking class, learn a new language or try a new and interesting hobby like African Drumming!

English Language

English Language programs provide beginners, intermediate and advanced students with confidence and improved English skills. The broad range of courses includes day and evening classes and offer specialised training for English as a Second Language (ESL) students in accent reduction, Australian business communication and English for the workplace. This program also offers business communication packages for the corporate community.

Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)

Macquarie Community College is part of the consortium responsible for the provision of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) funded by the Department of Education and Training.

The AMEP provides English courses to newly-arrived refugees and migrants with appropriate visas, providing basic English tuition to help migrants and refugees settle successfully in Australia. Students learn about Australian culture and society and can better access their new community in areas such as health, employment and education.
