Advanced Guitar Lessons Sydney

We offer training in face to face and/or online learning formats.

Guitar Lessons Stage 4 - Advanced will build and further develop a student’s guitar playing skills. For students who are familiar with the essential fundamentals of guitar playing, and can play a few tunes.

Course Outline

Topics include:

  • Reading chord charts
  • Chord and scale construction
  • Understanding rhythm

Course Outcome

  • is intended that by the end of the course you will be able to play chordal accompaniment and melodies to several entire songs. You will have the knowledge to apply these skills to a variety of musical settings. Students have the opportunity to practise the application of new skills on a piece of music of their own choosing. This will be presented to the group in the final week.

What to Bring

  • Students will need their own acoustic guitar for this class.
  • Tea, coffee, biscuits supplied for face-to-face classes

Prerequisite: Essential

  • Students need to be familiar with the essential fundamentals of guitar playing - and have completed a minimum of 12 months' tuition.

Important Information

  • This is a group class. Material is presented using a combination of written and played musical examples. You will play individually and in small groups. Feedback will be provided individually and to the group as a whole.

Please note: You will need access to the internet and a smartphone, tablet, computer or laptop in order to participate in the livestream video classes.
