How to Practice Mindfulness in Your Daily Life - Sydney Course

Have you ever been in conversation with someone and realised that you haven’t heard a word of what they said?
Have you found yourself immersed in your phone and disconnected to the people around you?
Have you experienced going to a place and not knowing how you got there in the first place?

If you are someone who has experienced this and wants to slow down in the busyness and chaos of your daily life, then this course is for you.
Through this course, you will be able to learn how to practice Mindfulness and even the science behind why Mindfulness works. With this Mindfulness course, you will learn about the building blocks of Mindfulness and how you can use each of them to fully pay attention to what is happening in the ‘here and now’, instead of focusing in the past or future predictions. You will learn how to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life and be in charge of your own life better.

This course will also teach you how to develop a greater sense of self-awareness so you can learn to appreciate everyday events in a mindful way, bringing you a happier, healthier life. By practicing mindfulness, you can change the way you think about your experiences and therefore cope more effectively with everyday stress, including anxiety, chronic pain or mild depression.

By living in the present moment, we can also learn how to experience simple pleasures in a more meaningful way and promoting a sense of contentment.

The benefits of practicing Mindfulness are:

  • Improved decision making
  • More focus
  • Less stress
  • Clear and calmer mind
  • Increased productivity
  • Better sleep
  • Freedom from emotional turmoil, anxiety and even depression

Mindfulness is backed by science and has been used in many clinical studies and as part of many different therapies. It is proven to provide individuals a better way of training one’s self to observe their emotion and increasing resilience to conflict and change.

Macquarie Community College operates from a range of venues across North and Western Sydney. We have campuses in Carlingford, Chatswood, Mt Druitt, Richmond and many more. Enrol today or enquire now!
