Photography – Intermediate

Course Overview

The Photography Intermediate course extends a student’s knowledge of basic photography skills that they may have learned by attending the Photography Introduction course or through similar courses or personal experiences.

It is ideal for students with access to an SLR camera with manual controls and interchangeable lenses, which includes contemporary mirrorless SLR cameras.

This course is not designed to support cameras that don’t have manual controls or interchangeable lenses – often referred to as compact or ‘all-in-one’ cameras.

The content is structured to help with technical aspects of capturing pictures – such as use of manual controls for creative effects. The course will also teach RAW image processing, however, it is not designed to teach deep knowledge in image editing or graphic arts.

Students will also have the opportunity to practice their skills during 2 field trips (excursions).

Macquarie Community College operates from a range of venues across Northern and Western Sydney. We have campuses in Blacktown, Carlingford, Chatswood, Epping, Mt Druitt, Richmond, and Ryde. Enrol now!
