Introduction to Spanish – Sydney Course
Learning Spanish in Sydney can be difficult, thats why our Introduction to Spanish courses are suitable for absolute beginners. No knowledge of the language is assumed. While teachers will use the target language in class, all explanations will be in English. This level is suitable for intending travellers, business people wishing to extend their professional networks and people who wish to communicate more effectively with families and friends. The classes include cultural information.
Course Outline
In this Introduction to Spanish course, you will learn:
- Self-introduction and introducing people
- Asking about the names of the people
- Pronunciation techniques
- Useful daily expressions (how to say “thank you” etc.)
- Numbers
- Greetings and requests
- Ordering food and drink at restaurants
- Asking for conveniences
- Asking and giving personal information
- How to shop, “barter” and handle money in Spanish
- The customs and cultures of different Spanish speaking countries
Course Outcome
At the end of the course, you will be able to introduce yourself, greet people, utilise various means of introduction, ask for your meals, drinks, ask for the bill, and ask for directions to the bathrooms and local areas.
You will have an understanding of the basic customs of many of your host countries, and you will have an insight into their culture.
