Participants will learn basic dog first aid and CPR techniques, including how to respond to common emergencies, recognise signs of distress and support a dog’s wellbeing until veterinary assistance is available.

By the end of this workshop you will have learnt about:
- Safety in canine first aid
- Cardio pulmonary resuscitation including vital signs and body check
- Wounds and bleeding management
- Choking
- Poisoning
- Insect bites and stings
- Fractures and other injuries

Entry requirements
This Sydney short course is designed for adults looking to develop practical dog care and emergency response skills in supportive community learning environments.
Students should either have a dog or have owned a dog prior with an interest in learning more about dogs in general.
Completion of the Pre-Questionnaire provided by the college if possible before the commencement of the workshop.
