Throughout this engaging 4-week workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore various methods for arranging seasonal flowers, allowing you to create stunning and unique displays that reflect your personal style. Each week, we will focus on different techniques and themes, including elegant table arrangements, festive wreaths, and beautiful centerpieces in bowls and vases. You will also learn how to effectively use oasis and other materials to enhance your designs.

In addition to hands-on experience, we will share creative presentation ideas that will elevate your floral displays, making them the perfect addition to your holiday events. Whether you’re preparing for a family gathering, a festive party, or simply want to brighten up your home for the season, this workshop aims to inspire your creativity and boost your confidence in floral design. By the conclusion of the workshop, you will have acquired specific skills and techniques in flower arrangement. This course is designed for participants of all skill levels.

In this course you will learn:

  • Seasonal floral creations
  • Table arrangements – round style and long and low style
  • Bouquet – “Vogue” fashionable and trendy
  • Frontal flower arrangement in oasis
  • Bud vase ideas
  • Table setting ideas for your event
  • Where to source your items for your event
  • What growers at the Sydney flower markets will sell the flowers I need for my event

Course outcome

By the end of the course you will know:

  • How to prepare your flowers for your event
  • What equipment will you need for your event
  • How to arrange flowers in different containers
  • Be able to combine creativity with floristry technical skills

What you need to know

Entry requirements

This course is suitable for all levels. Complete beginners are welcome as well as those students who have already completed the Introduction to Flower Arrangement course or higher levels.

What you need to provide

The course fee includes the flowers for the first lesson. Remaining classes flowers cost are payable to the tutor.

Please bring

  • $50 for week 2 lessons (this will be for all flowers and sundries)
  • $60 for week 3 lessons – Table Arrangement (this will be for all flowers and sundries)
  • $80 for week 4 lessons – Wreath (this will be for all flowers and sundries)
  • Pen and notepad
  • Secateurs or florist scissors

Please note: The teacher has florist scissors ($6) and rose strippers ($4) if you want to purchase them.

Step 1 - Choose Your Course

  • Select the non-accredited short course you are interested in.
  • Find a day and time that suits your schedule.

Note: Enrolment is open to anyone 18 years or older.

Step 2 - Enrol and Verify

  • Click ‘Enrol Now’ after selecting your course and schedule.
  • Enter your details on the enrolment page.
  • Verify your email through a secure link sent to your email address.
  • Complete the secure checkout and payment process.

Step 3 - Receive Your Enrolment Details

  • You will receive a course reminder email a day before your class begins.
  • For Online Zoom classes, a Zoom link and password will be emailed the day before class. Use the same link and password for subsequent sessions if applicable.
