Japanese Pastel Nagomi Art is a form of creative expression that uses pastel colours, blending and simple finger-painting techniques. During this workshop, you will explore the background and philosophy of Pastel Nagomi Art while learning how to blend colours, build layers, create textures and develop your own artwork through easy-to-follow, step-by-step guidance.

No previous drawing, painting or artistic experience is required. The workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as anyone interested in mindful art, pastel drawing or finding a relaxing creative activity. You will be encouraged to experiment with colour and creative expression without worrying about artistic ability or perfection.

Course outcome

This is a live, interactive online workshop that allows participants to learn and create from home.

The tutor will provide clear, step-by-step demonstrations and guide participants through each stage of creating Japanese Pastel Nagomi Art. The workshop combines practical demonstrations, guided hands-on activities and an introduction to the background and philosophy of Pastel Nagomi Art.
