Have you ever wished to capture a beautiful scene? Watercolours are a wonderful way to quickly get your ideas down on paper. You can create convincing, realistic landscape paintings using the unique techniques of Watercolours.

Washes, wet on wet, mingling etc can be used to create mood and atmosphere for soft, mysterious scenes or bright, sunlit countryside.

Once you have been introduced to the basic techniques of watercolours, the possibilities are endless to create your own interpretations of the world we see around us.

What you will learn

Course outline

This course will involve a combination of teacher demonstrations and student practical work. Students will be guided step by step by tutor though individual projects.
Topics include:
Introduction to materials & equipment (paint, papers, brushes etc)
Watercolour techniques (wet on wet, wet on dry, mingling, washes, etc)
Colour and Tone
Composition
Perspective
Mood and Atmosphere
Subjects (Types of Landscapes)

Course outcome

By the end of the workshop, students will be able to use watercolour techniques to produce convincing, realistic landscape paintings.

Entry requirements

No prior knowledge necessary. This course is applicable for beginners or for those with some experience wishing to further develop their skills.

What you need to provide

All materials will be provided by the tutor, but students may like to bring a note book.

  • Find a day and time that suits your schedule.

Note: Enrolment is open to anyone 18 years or older.

Step 2 - Enrol and Verify

  • Click ‘Enrol Now’ after selecting your course and schedule.
  • Enter your details on the enrolment page.
  • Verify your email through a secure link sent to your email address.
  • Complete the secure checkout and payment process.

Step 3 - Receive Your Enrolment Details
