Course Overview
Discover the Zentangle Method®—a simple, relaxing, and enjoyable way to create beautiful artwork by drawing structured patterns. Often described as “Yoga for the brain,” this mindful art practice is perfect for anyone who believes they “can’t draw,” as no artistic experience is required.
In this course, you’ll learn how to build intricate designs using easy, repetitive strokes, one step at a time. Rather than focusing on the finished result, the Zentangle Method encourages you to enjoy the creative process itself—allowing you to slow down, be present, and let your creativity unfold naturally.
Through guided instruction, you’ll explore a range of Zentangle patterns and techniques while developing confidence in your mark-making. The method promotes focus, reduces stress, and enhances creativity, making it both calming and deeply satisfying. Many students find the practice meditative, restorative, and surprisingly empowering.
By the end of the course, you’ll have created your own unique Zentangle artworks and gained a lifelong creative tool you can return to whenever you want to relax, refocus, or spark fresh ideas.
The class is delivered in a classroom setting. The instructor provides step-by-step demonstrations of each pattern, and students work at their own pace in a quiet, meditative environment.
