In this Excel masterclass you will learn how to:

  • Use workplace Excel functions including SUMIF, COUNTIF, IF, IFS, VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP

  • Clean and prepare data for reporting
  • Use practical text functions including CONCAT, TEXTJOIN, LEFT, RIGHT, PROPER and UPPER
  • Set up Data Validation
  • Create drop-down lists to improve consistency and simplify data entry

  • Record macros to automate repetitive Excel tasks and save time

This course is designed for participants who already understand the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel and want to develop more advanced Excel skills for business, reporting, data analysis and workplace productivity.

Participants should have basic experience using a computer and be comfortable opening, editing and saving files. You should know how to create folders and organise documents, download and upload files, and locate files on your computer.

Basic keyboard, mouse and internet browsing skills are also required. Participants must have access to a computer with the Microsoft Office desktop applications installed and available.

  • Windows computer (please advise if you are a Mac user)
  • Microsoft Excel desktop application installed
  • Access to your Microsoft account
  • Pen and notepad

This is a practical 3.25-hour hands-on Microsoft Excel masterclass.

Sample files will be provided to participants by email before the course.

No textbook is required. Comprehensive course notes are provided.

The course may be delivered face to face on campus in Chatswood or as a live instructor-led online session.

Note: Enrolment is open to anyone 18 years or older.
