Course Overview
Take your email skills beyond the basics with our Getting More from Email workshop.
Email is one of the most useful digital tools for staying connected with family and friends, managing appointments, receiving bills and statements, shopping online and accessing important services. While many people know how to send and receive emails, there are many useful features that can make email easier to manage and more effective to use.
This practical workshop is designed for seniors who already have basic email skills and would like to learn how to make better use of their email account. You’ll discover useful features that can help you organise your inbox, manage attachments, reduce clutter and save time.
You’ll learn how to work with attachments, organise emails using folders and labels, create rules that automatically sort incoming messages and customise your emails using signatures, formatting tools and scheduling features. We’ll also look at the difference between traditional email and modern webmail services such as Gmail, and discuss why having more than one email account can be beneficial.
Through practical demonstrations and hands-on activities, you’ll gain confidence using features that many people don’t realise are available, helping you get more value from your email account every day.
This workshop is suitable for seniors who can already send and receive emails and would like to improve their email management and organisational skills.
