Course Overview
Step into nature with veteran bushwalking guide Greg Williams, who has led walks across Sydney for nearly 40 years. Book this bushwalk individually or save by enrolling in the Sunday Adventure Bushwalks Package, which includes four guided walks this term.
The Deer Pool walk follows the scenic Marley Track through the Royal National Park, offering a rich blend of coastal beauty, bushland trails, and serene wetlands. As you journey through heath and scrub, you’ll visit the peaceful Deer Pool —a natural rock catchment nestled along an unnamed creek—and explore the protected wetlands of Marley Lagoon, a haven for native birdlife.
Seasonal highlights include vibrant wattle blossoms in winter and spring, and water gum flowers in summer. You’ll also take in sweeping coastal escarpment views and visit a secluded sandy beach, perfect for a swim in the warmer months.
With its mix of natural features, unique flora, and stunning outlooks, this Royal National Park walk is a must for any bushwalking enthusiast.
