Flamenco Guitar – Introduction

Course Overview

Take your guitar skills to another level by learning the rhythmic and expressive style of Flamenco Guitar. This course is suitable for guitarists who already know bar chords and want to challenge themselves with the flamenco style of playing.

Throughout the course, you will go through carefully graded exercises and learn various flamenco forms and techniques such as arpeggio, rasgueados and pulgar. You will learn the flamenco posture with special attention given to the strumming hand to achieve the unique sound for which the flamenco guitar is famous. There will also be specific lessons on tangos, soleares and alegrías. A recording of exercises learnt in class will be emailed to students each week.

By the end of this course, you will be able to play complete flamenco pieces!
