Welcome to Introduction to Armenian, an exciting journey where you can immerse yourself into a beautiful, historical and unique language.

As the official language of Armenia, it stands as an independent branch of Indo-European languages, boasting a distinct alphabet found nowhere else in the world. With two modern dialects, Eastern and Western Armenian, our course is thoughtfully designed to cater to both linguistic variations.

Throughout the course, you’ll not only grasp the essentials of the language but also gain practical insights into its cultural context. Learn how Armenian can enrich your understanding of literature, music, and daily life.

By the course’s conclusion, you will have learnt a basic overview of the history of the Armenian language. vocabulary and some particularities of Armenian grammar.

In this Armenian language course, you will learn how to:

  • Introduce yourself and others
  • Talk about colours
  • Use numbers and learn to tell the time
  • Food and beverage
  • Use the days of the week, month, seasons, and Weather
  • Use simple greetings
  • Talk about professions
  • Talk about countries and where you live
  • Provide personal information
  • Conversation covering restaurants, accommodations and travel

Course outcome

At the end of this Armenian course the students will be able to:

  • Greet other people
  • Use basic expressions and sentences while shopping, at the coffee shop, at the doctor’s office, travelling etc.

This course is for absolute beginners. No previous knowledge of the language is assumed.

Step 1

Anyone 18 years or older may enrol into our non-accredited short courses by: • choosing the course you are interested in and; • finding a day and time that is suitable.

Step 2

After selecting your course and class. click ‘’Enrol Now’’ and enter your details. • You will be asked to verify your email through a secure link sent to your email address. • Once you have returned to the enrolment page you will proceed through the secure checkout and payment process. • Alternatively, you can call customer service on 1300 845 888. Step 3

Once your enrolment has been processed, you will receive the following emails: • Enrolment confirmation: you will receive this immediately after your enrolment has been processed. Please check and read your Terms and conditions. • Tax invoice: the payer of your enrolment will receive this immediately after your enrolment has been processed. • Course reminder: you will receive a reminder the day prior to your class commencement. • Zoom link (for remote zoom classes only): you will receive a Zoom link and password the day prior to class commencement. If your course has multiple sessions, use the same link and password to access each session.
