Course Overview

Introduction to German courses are suitable for absolute beginners. No knowledge of the language is assumed. While teachers will use the target language in class, all explanations will be in English. This level is suitable for intending travellers, business people wishing to extend their professional networks and people who wish to communicate more effectively with families and friends. The classes include cultural information.

What you will learn

Course outline

In this workshop, you will learn how to navigate the web using a tablet device. You will learn the differences between a PC and a tablet and how the two can work together. You’ll also learn how to start up programs on your tablet, connect wirelessly to the internet and how to navigate using a virtual keyboard.

Topics include:

  • What’s a tablet, and how is it different to a PC
  • A brief guide to different tablet models: iPad, Android and Windows
  • Using a touchscreen and understanding gesture control
  • Setting up your tablet to connect to the internet
  • Using the tablet’s web browser and onscreen keyboard
  • Adding apps and media from online stores

How to Enrol

Step 1 - Choose Your Course

  • Select the non-accredited short course you are interested in.
  • Find a day and time that suits your schedule.

Note: Enrolment is open to anyone 18 years or older.

Step 2 - Enrol and Verify

  • Click ‘Enrol Now’ after selecting your course and schedule.
  • Enter your details on the enrolment page.
  • Verify your email through a secure link sent to your email address.
  • Complete the secure checkout and payment process.

Step 3 - Receive Your Enrolment Details

  • You will receive an immediate enrolment confirmation email upon successful enrolment. Check and read the attached Terms and Conditions.

  • You will receive a course reminder email a day before your class begins.
  • For Online Zoom classes, a Zoom link and password will be emailed the day before class. Use the same link and password for subsequent sessions if applicable.
