What happens when you bring curious minds, friendly tutors and exciting learning activities together? A wonderful day of discovery, laughter and new experiences!
On Friday, 23 October 2026, Macquarie Community College welcomed approximately 60–65 participants to our Chatswood campus for a free community event celebrating Get Online Week 2026.
From trying new activities to meeting like-minded people, our classrooms were filled with enthusiasm and curiosity. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees enjoying the opportunity to learn and explore in a friendly environment.
What Is Get Online Week and Why Does It Matter?
Get Online Week is an annual Australian campaign led by Good Things Australia. It encourages people to develop digital skills, build confidence using technology and stay connected in an increasingly digital world.
For many adults, learning something new can feel challenging, especially when technology is constantly changing.
At Macquarie Community College, we believe learning should be accessible, practical and enjoyable, whatever your age or experience.
Our Get Online Week celebration brought our local community together to experience the enjoyment of learning in a supportive setting.
A Day of Learning, Discovery and New Experiences
One of the highlights of the day was seeing participants embrace new experiences with such enthusiasm.
Our free taster activities offered an opportunity to explore different interests, learn alongside others and discover how enjoyable adult education can be.

The event also gave participants a glimpse into the welcoming learning environment that Macquarie Community College creates across its Sydney campuses.
Our experienced tutors helped make the activities approachable and enjoyable, encouraging everyone to participate at their own pace.
And perhaps the best part? Seeing people leave with smiles, positive experiences and enthusiasm for learning more.
