Candle Making Workshop - Sydney Course
We offer training in face to face and/or online learning formats.

This workshop will teach and inspire you to make your very own soy candles. Whether you are interested in making candles for the markets, fun, retail or give aways, this is the perfect way to get started.
You will learn simple techniques to create and achieve the best soy candles without spending a cent on specialised equipment. You will learn all about wick selection for different types of containers and jars, different oils, dyes, additives and more. Our candle making tutor has over 20 years' experience.
By the end of the workshop, you will leave with your very own stash of candles, worth $100 minimum.
This workshop is designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced. No prior experience is required. Please be aware that weather can affect how fast candles set so class may finish up to an hour later.

Course Outline
This hands-on course will give you insight into fascinating facets of soy wax candle making including:
- Wick selection for different types of containers and jars
- Dyes and additives
- Equipment and tools of the trade
- Colouring and fragrance
- Fragrance oils vs. essential oils
- Types of jars, tins, and containers
- Candle safety
Course Outcome
At the end of the course students will know how to perfect and make a soy candle.
- The difference in fragrance oils vs essential oils
- Wick sizes
- Percentages/proportions to use
- Candle safety
- Melting the temperatures of wax
- When to pour the oils into the wax
- All the industry secrets to make a retail candle
