Course Overview

Welcome to Flower Arrangement – Hello Spring, a course designed to enhance your flower arranging skills with your own springtime flair!

Master the art of flower arrangement in this spring themed course. This course will broaden your experience with flowers, covering colours and techniques to help you create stunning bouquet and pot arrangements.

We will begin with an introduction on preparing flowers for the seasonal creation. You will learn how to bring out the beauty of natural spring blooms using ceramic pots, woven baskets, natives and learning modern textured wrapping techniques.

Led by an experienced florist, you will receive a step by step guide on how to care for and add your own special touch to beautiful blooms.

This short course is suitable for all levels – from complete beginners to intermediate and experienced students who want to build on their current skills by experimenting with seasonal flowers.

By the end of the course, you will not only have learned various flower arrangement techniques but also have developed a newfound confidence in creating your own stunning spring-themed floral displays.

What you will learn

Course outline

In this course, you will learn:

  • Modern hand-held bouquets with seasonal spring flowers
  • Floral gift wrapping with textured wrapping
  • Arrangements in glass vases using modern techniques
  • Woven basket arrangement using a mixture of spring colours with natives

Course outcome

By the end of the course you will:

  • Be able to care for fresh flowers
  • Be able to arrange flowers in different containers, using different techniques
  • Have developed a good understanding of elements of design and colours
  • Be able to combine creativity with floristry technical skills

What you need to know

Entry requirements

This course is suitable for all levels. Complete beginners are welcome as well as those students who have already completed the Introduction to Flower Arrangement course or higher levels.

What you need to provide

The course fee includes the flowers for the first lesson. payable to the tutor, to cover the cost of the first lesson’s flowers

Please bring:

  • $40 for subsequent lessons (this will be for all flowers and sundries)
  • Secateurs
  • Floral scissors
  • Rose stripper
  • Pen and notepad

Please note: The teacher has florist scissors ($6) and rose strippers ($4) if you want to purchase them.

You will be provided with:

  • Fresh flowers (details confirmed each week)

  • Find a day and time that suits your schedule.

Note: Enrolment is open to anyone 18 years or older.

Step 2 - Enrol and Verify

  • Click ‘Enrol Now’ after selecting your course and schedule.
  • Enter your details on the enrolment page.
  • Verify your email through a secure link sent to your email address.
  • Complete the secure checkout and payment process.

Step 3 - Receive Your Enrolment Details

  • For Online Zoom classes, a Zoom link and password will be emailed the day before class. Use the same link and password for subsequent sessions if applicable.
