Tech Savvy Seniors – Staying Connected for Seniors

Course Overview

Technology has come a long way! With just a touch of a button, you can be informed about the latest news around the world. You can even stay connected with family and friends while remotely separated using video, phone call, text message or email. In Staying Connected for Seniors we will walk you through the internet’s most popular applications that help you to keep connected to your friends and loved ones.

Most of these applications are ‘apps’ that you can download from the app store onto your phone or tablet.

Some of the apps we will look at are:

  • Messages (SMS messaging)
  • FaceTime (video call)
  • WhatsApp (text messaging, sending photos and videos, and video calls)

There are many other apps we will comment on:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook Messenger
  • WeChat
  • Skype
  • Zoom
  • TikTok
  • Pinterest
  • Instagram

Macquarie Community College operates from a range of venues across Northern and Western Sydney. We have campuses in Blacktown, Carlingford, Chatswood, Epping, Mt Druitt, Richmond, and Ryde. Enrol now!
